What’s For Dinner? – Character Concept – “Plant Head”

Personal portfolio project. I’m a fan of the beautiful and moody concept art of Joako’s so I reached out to him and asked permission to do a sculpt based on his artwork. He agreed and off I went. This project was sculpted from scratch in ZBrush. Topology and UVs were handled in ZBrush as well. Texturing and rendering was all done in Marmoset Toolbag 4. Minor adjustments made to final images in Affinity Photo.

I imagine this creature being born of the earth into a humanoid abomination and on the prowl for its next meal. Mud, mold, dead plant matter, and all the slimy stuff to go with. Don’t get caught near this without your riding mower.
